Good for kids and teenagers
The picture quality was pretty good, but the lighting was not so great. If you use the flash you can't be too close to the subject, or else it will flood out the subject. If you don't use the flash the picture will appear dark even when being taken right under your living room light. The lighting isn't too bad when you use it outside in the sunlight though. The controls are easy to navigate and the camera is pretty light weight. My daughter loves this camera, but I would never use it for myself.

This camera was perfect!!
I purchased this for my 15 and 13 yr old nieces for Christmas. It is perfect! It seems to have everything they need and want for everyday picture taking. The only problem we ran into was I should have bought rechargeable batteries for it because they use it so much.

Pleasantly surprised
Got this for my almost-5 year old daughter, to stop her from grabbing our Cannon all the time. I opted for this model, since the reviews were so much better than the reviews for the Disney one, and kept my fingers crossed that it would work reasonably well. She's thrilled to have her own camera, especially a pink one! We've been quite pleasantly surprised by the quality and features and ease of use. She easily figured out how to take basic pictures and manage the zoom and preview functions. I was pleased to see the camera has a flash (although she hasn't figured that out yet) and holds quite a few pictures (I think she stored as many as 20 so far). We downloaded her photos using the USB cable and software provided (process was VERY easy), and the quality was better than expected, although you do have to hold the camera VERY steady to get a clear shot. We've taught her to brace her hands on something for more stability. Only gripe is that it doesn't come with an AC adapter/charger, so it does tend to eat the batteries (I did figuer out how to shorten the auto shut-off delay down to 1 minute, which seems to help). If you get this, don't rely solely on the quick start paper instruction book to learn how to use it; there is a much more detailed manual in pdf form on the included disk.

The pink camera
We bought this for our 8 year old daughter. So far, she loves it! As a parent, I thought that the instruction manual was not up to standards. It doesn't really tell you how to set the time and date etc. We just had to play around with it. The pictures turned out great. The camara is very light weight and a bit cheaply made. We'll see if it can withstand an 8 year old!

Good for younger children but not sure how long it will last
I bought this for my 10 year old neice. I loved the price, but I"m not so sure that it will last too long... I might have been better off spending another 30 bucks to get an entry level Canon... The battery's ran out quickly AND there is no recharger... it takes 2 AA's... Also the opening where you put the batteries is pretty flimsy and I'm not so sure that through multiple uses it will withstand it. when I opened it to replace the batteries it felt like it was going to break if I wasn't extremely careful. Again, it's cheap, took decent pictures, but not sure how durable it is...

Just OK
We gave this camera to our six year old for Christmas. She can't always hold it still enough for a clear picture and that frustrates her. Picture quality is so-so. Overall, I don't think I would choose this camera again.

took it back
My daughter loves our canon hand held digital camera so we thought we'd give her a camera of her own for Christmas. we gave it to her the beginning of the month, the quality of the camera is terrible. it feels very flimsy and not very durable for a kids camera. we are taking it back today and giving her our canon and getting us a new one. it was terrible trying to figure out the buttons, we actually had to get the book out to figure out the options, still couldn't get the date set. Not happy at all.

Great for kids, but eats through 2 batteries a day!
We got this for our 6 year old daughter, who uses my fairly advanced camera and is pretty proficient for her age. It is ok. She loves it, says things like "I must be dreaming! I can't believe this is my own camera!" and just snaps all day. So I do think it is a great gift for a little girl. As far as it being a "real" camera...the photo quality varies, for apparently no reason. It eats through 2 AAA batteries in one day. The delete function is hard to use. I really can't recommend it as a camera, but it is an awesome toy camera.

Don't buy this camera.
We bought this camera for our daughter. It locked up completely after a month. We shipped it back to the manufacturer for replacement. They did replace it- with a camera with a cracked screen. We have been trying to reach them, but they do not answer phones or respond to messages. Garbage.

Nice Camera
I ordered this camera for my daughters ages 9 and 12. I think it is a good price for a 5 mp camera and I am sure the girls will love the color. I only gave it 4 stars because we have not used it yet as they are Christmas gifts. But honestly its a childrens camera how bad can it be...
