Great Product for the Price
This product is very good. The main problem I have with it is that it does have a tendency to make the cursor jump, and the feature that makes it fall asleep after a few minutes of non-use is actually (to me) quite annoying. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

This is a great buy for the money! It was less than one third the price of the usual tablets and offers far more work space (a nice feature for a free-lance artist).
For a new user to the graphic tablets, I did not exactly want to put in a large amount of money and not end up being able to adjust to the equipment. This is a great starting tool for the beginning and new graphic artist.

this is an email i sent to genius support:
Hi,
i just received my tablet today, and i cant seem to be able to get it to work.
i installed the drivers, as the booklet said, but upon connecting the tablet i receive an error saying:
"Power surge on hub port" (i attached a screen shot)
and on a second computer, nothing happens.
and this is the reply:
Hello,
I regret to inform you that there may have been a short circuit on the internal circuit board when you plugged the product into the 5V USB port. Please return product to place of purchase for replacement.
dont bother..
if it doesnt work on day 1, it'll probably break again.

Good for the price if this is your first.
I purchased one of these with no clue how a drawing tablet really had worked. I did not do my research but was pleased by this tablet. It works great. The tablet has a plastic smooth feel it doesnt have any special amazing smooth feel like the wacom.
I own a windows xp with 512 ram and it does jump a bit so its a little eh. At work I use a Vista with 2gbs of ram, the tablet works terrific without any jumps or pauses. If you are a beginner than go for it. Take not that this does not have an eraser.
If you have money for a Wacom do it. Wacom tablets have a better feel.
If you wondering what programs I have ran the genius mousepen under they are:
Photoshop cs2, cs3
Adobe Flash cs2, cs3
Fireworks cs3
Corel Painter 8
All these programs work great with the tablet.

D.O.A.
I so wanted this product to work and purchased this at Amazon's $39.00 special price. However, it was Dead on Arrival (DOA). I'm very computer savvy but couldn't get this thing to do a single thing. Even tried changing the battery in the pen . . . nothing. I have no doubt that it may be working for others. I think I'll spend the money and get what you pay for in a higher end product.

Cheapest 8"X6" tablet.
If this were twice as expensive, that is if amazon sold it at its MSRP, it would only be worth about two stars, probably less, but as it is this thing is a fairly good value. The PDF manual included on the installation CD is hardly useful and filled with the sort of grammatical anomalies that one might expect to find on a paper sleeve containing chopsticks, and the instructions are about as useful for operating the tablet software as they would be for chopsticks. There seems to be no option to program the "programmable" "Hot-Cell" shortcuts; this is not really an issue; you likely won't need them anyway. There is a learning curve with this and all tablets as your hand adapts to the spatial challenges of drawing at a distance. There is no eraser on the stylus, and the mouse, which only operates when it is atop the tablet, and stylus require one AAA battery apiece. The batteries are included and installed prior to packaging which seems potentially hazardous to the battery's lifespan. The software and drivers function perfectly on my WinXP system and the product works well with Adobe Photoshop and Flash.

Awesome!!!
I purchased this mouse pen to experiment with Photoshop and it makes the tools so much easier to sue.
It was very easy to set up and to use.
My photos and drawings now have much more precision and clarity.
I would recommend this to anyone that needs a mousepen.

We purchased this Mousepen for to use when creating artwork on Paint Shop Pro. This was a very affordable way to improve productivity in Paint Shop. Easy to install and easy to use.

Sadly, after holding HI HOPES, this was too enexpensive to indicate quality. Super bummed, cuz the good one's are $bigger$ bucks!

Buyers Beware
I just recently purchased this item after debating over the idea of buying the [[ASIN:B000V9T2JA Bamboo (Small) Pen Tablet with Pen Only]] versus this product. I decided to purchase this product because 1) it provided a larger surface to use, and 2) it was more "inexpensive" than others it's size. Although, I was vary of the 13% that had their systems crash or receive an unusable product. When this item arrived, it was badly packaged. The mouse and pen were not in the correct areas of the box and the installation cd was out of it's sleeve. It wasn't a big deal to me, so I took the tablet out of it's protective "foam sheet" covering and proceeded to install it. The installation manual wasn't as detailed as I would have liked it to be, but it was sufficient. However, when I attempted to install the software (my operating systen is Windows XP) a screen popped up to tell me that this product was not Windows certified and could disable or crash my system if I proceeded to install it. Upon remembering the other reviews of unsatisfied customers, one happened to have had the same situation; I chose not to proceed with the installation. I unplugged the tablet and packaged the product neater and more properly than I had received it, and I plan to ship it back today. While the product was not properly installed, and is planned for return,the tablet was still usuable. Usuable in the sense that you could only use the pen. However the pointer lagged and jumped around the screen, only moving when I hovered over a specific area and clicked the left button. When I went to change the sensitivity settings, the highest setting caused it to be too sensitive and any other setting wasn't sensitive enough. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

This product works well for the price. It's not top of the line, but it gets the job done. Good for people who aren't professional graphic artists who want to learn a tablet without spending a fortune.

Love the tablet and the pen but the mouse isn't that great. We only use the pen so it's not a big issue for us. Can't argue with the price

Splendent
First I have to say that it was pretty cheap, on sale, which made me save money. Being an 8x6 tablet is perfect to place anywhere to draw on, though the cable that is around 56' of length. Great delivery time, got to my house in three business days. Gots the occational glitch or just turns itself off but works pretty well, i do recomend getting a soft ware pogram for drawings or something in that area. But over all great product.

Wondering whether works w/ Vista Home Edition...
It's useful and cute. That's true it's a cheapie, but HEY! It's a great alternative for a 1st tablet! Upgrading is your choice if you are a PRO, and want to shell out 5X what you pay for this one.
For laptop users: look for the smallest Genius, for less than 40bucks here on Amazon.
My question to other users: is it Vista friendly? For Home Edition Vista or only Premium...?

Great, especially for a beginner
This is a great product for those who want a tablet without spending much. It's good quality, and is just a step down from WACOM. If you have a child who wants a tablet, but there's the risk that they lose intrest (as children do) then the low price is perfect. Or if you're just starting out with getting into Flash, or other animation, then it's a good tablet to get used to the feel without making a big hole in your bank account. It works great, is a good size, and the price just can't be beat.

Left Handers Beware: Way too sensitive.
I read the reviews for this tablet, and they seemed fantastic. Now, I'm not sure if this goes for ANY tablet, but I'm left handed and it was EXTREMELY difficult to use, because the pen drew just by me moving my hand to write from left to right. The tablet is very sensitive, and I could hold the stylus inches away and it would still write. Perhaps it would be fine for a right handed person, but I found it very irritating. It does not work well in Photo shop, I can draw better with a mouse! Perhaps just me, but left handers, beware. Also, I thought the stylus was uncomfortable to use(you have to hold a button down to use it). I was actually surprised by the results of this tablet, lots of people swear by them...they must not be left handed.
Other than that, the tablet is a good size, software works well, and its a good prize. It's just WAY WAY WAY too sensitive.

NOT FOR MAC OX S + Bad Customer Service and Cheap Product.
I bought this to use for a new Mac. Once it came not only was the product cheaply made and not "solid" like other pen tablets, the US Customer service was not very helpful (the product and company is Korean I believe). They did not supply a driver for the new Mac and when I called they said "oh our Mac here in the office is a few years old, so we don't know if it works on newer Macs". They did not have the expertise to show me how to get a driver, nor did they seem to care. For Mac people using this for CS3 stay away!

Genuis Mouspen 8x6 Graphics Tablet
Genius 8X6 Graphic Tablet is Ok for a cheapie.
Worked out of the box, installed drivers and plugged in USB and started drawing.
Buttons on the Pen, one works fine w/nice clicks and the other has intermitten spongy clicks but it's not worth sending the whole thing back in exchange for another $8 s/h.
Tablet does work fine though.
