mesmerising toy
this is one of the best baby products i've got - i have to travel with it which is it's only downfall as it's quite large! i am still finding new music and sound effects (lapping waves, bubbling brook)so i never get bored of it! Oh and baby LOVES it too - it sends her into a trance. Battteries last if you don't always put it on bubbling mode. light can go on or off with the music. i'm fussy and want value for money always - when my 7 month old grows out of it, my husband and i are having it! So it definitely is value for money. it's so pretty and not tacky like lots of kids toys!

Best toy ever!
This is the first toy my daughter really enjoyed, beginning at about 3 weeks. She is now three and a half months and it is still her favorite toy. When she was younger she would watch the tank and smile and coo at the fish; now she screams and "dances" to it. She has begun to kick the aquarium in delight and it shows every indication of holding up to this abuse. I can't wait for her to figure out that she can turn it on and off herself. It is perfect for buying a few minutes' worth to get ready in the morning without guilt because she loves it so much.

A Must Have
We had the previous version for our older son (and he still loves it at almost two years old!) and we bought the new version when our new little son arrived. I love the fish, the new songs. We liked the volume control on the old one, it was a dial this one has three volume settings. This one has a remote which I thought would be a great feature but ours has never worked. Both of my boys love music and love to watch the lights. I do agree with others that the batteries are a pain to change but it is for safety reasons. I love this item and would buy it for any other children we MAY have.

great toy
We got this as a gift for our 13 month old adopted son. I thought he would be too old for it and almost returned it. Boy, am I glad I didn't! He absolutely loves it. It calms him down when he is put to bed and isn't quite ready for sleep. The only drawback is that the batteries wear out so quick...it seems that everytime he happens to wake up in the middle of the night, he reaches up and turns it back on. I need to buy stock in Energizer the way we are going through batteries!!

Long-time soother buyer says this is the best one yet!
This is the 3rd version of the ocean wonders aquarium we've bought over the years, and this is the best one yet. From the visuals to the (especially) the excellent volume control and remote control, our new 3 month old already loves this. Would highly recommend for encouraging any baby's attiontion and comfort in their crib. (We also liked the birdie one from '04, if they are even still selling that one). Great buy!

Soothing for all
My 9 mo old daughter received for Christmas. This is a great crib toy. Very soothing, offering different songs, lengthy play time, numerous modes of play and volume levels. The motion, music and sounds are very soothing, even to myself. The lights and motion are too stimulating for my daughter at night, however, she has to have it completely dark to go to sleep, so we use the music only mode at night. This is made well as the motor is quiet, unlike some motion toys. Would highly recommend this to all. Only downfall is that the battery does not last very long, especially if motion lights and music setting is used.

Calming Seas
I bought this for my newborn grandson and he loves it. My other grandson had one as well and he loved it too. It is very calming. It even has a remote which my son thinks is the greatest. I don't think my son would admit this but I think he naps to it too!!

Simple and soothing - exactly what a crib toy should be!
I have two different crib soothers that I rotate between the cribs of my now 10-mo-old twins (to them, they're getting a new crib toy every month or so!). They love this one, and so do I. The design is simple compared to a lot of the elaborate crib toys out there, and I love that the music at the softest level is appropriately soft.
The only trouble with this one is the big, huge button on the front that allows baby to start or stop the music. Both of my boys toss and turn a lot, and several times they've turned it on in their sleep. Not a problem if I have it turned off, or set on music only, but if the light comes on it wakes them up.
This same button, however, proves to me how durable the toy is. Both of my boys have learned to position themselves so that they can "peddle" the button with both of their feet... and they kick HARD. It's held up great so far!

soothing aquarium
bought this for my grandaughter, loved the sounds of it and the moving fish. Will put you to sleep if you lay and watch it. The baby loves looking at it and puts her right to sleep. It is worth every penny !

Very nice aquarium
I love this aquarium. It plays for about fifteen minutes before it goes out and comes with a convenient remote so that you don't disturb the baby when he/she's already asleep. Our baby loves to look at the blue lights that are given off by the aquarium and it's really soothing. The only drawback is that the aquarium can be turned on and off by other remotes. It's a little annoying for us since our baby's crib is in our room currently.

more stimulating than soothing
I have a VERY active little boy and in less than a month the batteries are already dying in this. If it's turned on just the music then it can help calm him, but if I forget to turn off the light and movement - he'll stay up all night pressing the button on the side to turn it on and off.
I do like the music selection. The fish motor is a little loud when the music is on the lowest volume setting. But my son (at 7 months old) thinks its great to have a fishtank in his crib!

Great for nighttime!
We bought this toy after our baby was fascinated by a real acquarium on a trip. She loves it! The fish "swim," the plants sway, and critters move just like a "real" acquarium. It even has a remote to turn it off after baby falls asleep. The music is classical or water-sounds and you can select the songs to play each time. It also has a self-cut-off timer which is quite long, even with the motion activated. We previously had the Rainforest one, which has no remote, cuts off in like 5 minutes w/ motion, and can not select or fast-forward the music so you have to listen to the same songs in the same order...forever. I definitely recommend the acquarium one over that! This one also has a huge button that is easy for baby to activate. It is difficult to attach to the crib, but you get used to it. Best of all, it can be used past the 5 month period of an overhead mobile. Great buy!

must replace batteries frequently
If you want the full show (movement, lights, and music), it runs down the batteries quickly. Then you have to break out the screw driver to replace the batteries (why do all baby toys require batteries & screw drivers? How about an A/C adapter, or at least easier-to-get-to batteries?). It was very difficult to attach it to the crib with the plastic straps. All that effort and my 4 month old (who's had it for 2 months) could care less about it. He prefers watching the mobile over head.

very relaxing
I love this product. Oh yeah, my baby loves it too! It has a wide selection of music and sounds that relax and help put baby to sleep. My girl likes the sound of running water. Like a real aquarium, it is just such a relazing toy. I love the remote control b/c I can control it from the door without disturbing baby. It was very easy to set up as well. My husband and I said that we would put it next to our bed if baby didn't like it!! Anyway, I highly recommend this product!!!

My son loves it!
When my wife first told me about this item I was unsure but ordered it anyhow. How right my wife was! Our son is crazy about it!!! We often use it to lull our son to sleep at night. Only one word of caution...the remote control is set on a very broad frequency so that even when you use your TV's remote control, whether changing channels, adjusting volume or muting will turn the Aquarium off and on. For this reason, I strongly recommend you turn the remote function off when you put your baby to sleep or he/she will get an unexpecting surprise during the night!

Mesmarizing!
We love this crib mobile. It is completely mesmarizing. The sound and options are great. You can do music only, bubbles only or all motion and sound. 3 sound levels.
It comes with a remote, but we found out that our remote control to our TV controls the mobile too. Not a problem, just funny! It does run through batteries quickly if you run it all "full power" frequently. WORTH IT!

wow! what a relief!
I bought this for my son that's 2! I've never had trouble putting him to bed , EVER! But I needed something to distract him from being rocked every night, to just being put to bed with a hug and kiss. This works MAGIC! I turn this on every night and for naps and haven't had a problem. He loves to watch his own little "aquarium"!! Would highly recommend for any age. One question, can I HAVE ONE??!! lol

Love it
My little girl just loves to lay in her crib and watch this. Every now and then she will fall asleep with it, only if she is really tired, she would rather just watch the fish.
