Power issues
We continue to have the same power issues as other reviewers. What a shame. I will probably have to throw this toy away after one year of sporadic use. I usually love Fisher Price products, but this one has not been worth the money.

Playing away
My 5 yr old son received this from Santa. At first, he couldn't get enough of it. Now it sits with the rest. I think with some reminders, he will be as excited to play it as when he got it. It has a lot of potential. You need to buy separate cartridges for more music, but it comes with starter music and you can play your own tunes. I wish the cord was longer. I don't think a child under 5 would "get" it.

PERFECT for our three year old!!
My son LOVES this toy! Some of the games are a little confusing, IMO--there are a couple that I couldn't figure out how to play, and I'm an adult!! However, My three year old loves it, and asks to play with it at least twice a day.

Piano Playing and Video Games in One!!!
My 6.5 year old daughter received this piano as an impulsive gift from Santa after she requested a real piano. Unsure of whether or not she truly wanted to learn how to play the piano, I opted to buy something much smaller and more affordable than a baby grand! It has turned into a huge hit. She is learning key placement and understanding notes. We have four cartridges that she uses to mix up the games and songs. When her friends come over, they are immediately drawn to it and ask to play as well. Some of the games even allow for two players which makes it very user friendly for playdates.

Fisher Price I Can Play Piano System
We received this for Christmas and my daughter played it one time so far ...I think it is hard for her to play...you can not disconnect the plug and just carry it around and play which would of been nice. There are two games also to play but are very easy and do not hold her attention. I think this will get little play.

Does not work
Like MANY other reviews, this product did not work, brand new right out of the box. We will be returning tomorrow and will be getting a completely different keyboard. There have been too many reviews on here suggesting the same issue so we are not taking a chance on another one.

Very Disappointed
We purchased this for my 6 year old who is very music oriented. She loves her toy keyboard, and plays lots of video games (lik vsmile) so we thought this would be a good fit.
We were very disappointed in the quality of the software, and my daughter was finished with it in about 15 mintues. She didn't even like the freeplay feature, because it had annoying background music.
This toy is definitely not worth the price, it's very poor quality. Also, the notes hardly matched up with the song, so you didn't even feel like you were learning the melody.

Glorified Video Game
My 5 year old received this toy as a gift, because she had shown some interest in playing piano. I thought that this toy would at least have some very basic instructional value, but it doesn't. It does not teach proper hand postion and it does not teach notes or how to read music. You plug it in to the TV and watch the colors go across the screen and hit the corresponding color key on the piano. That's it. A few different versions of this game, but it's basically all the same game. I was very disappointed that it didn't even come with a book or sheet music showing how to play the songs with the color coded keys. This means you have to plug it into the TV to get anything out of it, unless you are interested in trying to figure songs out by ear. If you already have some basic piano instruction, or if you are much older than the recommended 4-8 years, you might find this toy to be educational. But if you are looking for something to teach basic piano or music skills, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a video game, well, you could do a lot better than this for the price. As for fun, my child does enjoy playing with it occasionally, but again, this product was purchased with the idea that it would teach a child how to play the piano, and it absolutely does not.
