Rocket will begin to start up as the child pats along. You can hear various classical music pieces along with Rocket sound effects.. Roll Rocket quickly or slowly along the table and the music will begin to play quickly, Allegro or slowly, Adagio! Rocket will have a gravity switch so that when the child points him in the air the music will start to play louder.. Rocket is a playset too! All 4 characters- Leo, Annie, Quincy & June, come with Rocket and can play inside and Rocket will recognize what characters are in their seats! Rocket works with the playsets he flies to by encouraging the child to be creative..

Awesome toy - except, it's HEAVY
I love how this toy is made. It's so thoughtfully engineered. When the clear plastic cover came off I thought my son broke it, but it's made to give if pulled on to hard and goes back on easy. Solid, durable construction.
Problem is, this great construction makes it heavy, my 37lb 3yr old doesn't have the strength to pull down the handle, and even if he did, he can't lift it.
But, he has fun watching rockets eye light up, rolling it on the floor, putting the characters in an out.

Little Einstein Fan
My grandson can't get enough fun from all Little Einstein's products....now if I could just find him a large poster of Little Einstein's with Rocket...and Little Einstein's window curtains, he'd have a beautiful and complete decorated bedroom!!! I recommend it for all children.

Good Toy lots of fun
The little Einstein's rocket is great - my 4 year old saw this before his 4th birthday and we did not buy it immediately. He still wanted it after a few weeks so we bought it- he loves it. lots of good noises, music and feels sturdy.

The One We Were Waiting For!
I saw this toy in August and foolishly did not buy it. My kids love the Little Einsteins, and I knew I wanted to get it for my youngest son for christmas, I went crazy looking for it leading up to christmas, it was no where to be found. I could not afford the $80 and up prices on the internet so I called every target within 3 hours of my home every week for 2 months, finally I found one it was still in the backroom and the nice employee said he would hold it for me I drove the 1 hour that night and got it. It cost $40. Some of the best money I have ever spend, all three of my kids love it, (ages 2, 4 and 6) it is a great toy, very educational as with all the baby and little einstein products. My only complaint is that the top comes off all the time, even so it is a wonderful toy.

One of the better Einstein toys
There's not really a lot out there when it comes to Little Einsteins, making it a tough call for toys to buy my obsessed son. Rocket is a great toy though. It is fairly large, but easy to hold and fly for a three year old (mine is two and needs help). It has a LOT of sayings, including each time you place a figure in their corresponding seat. The fins are a hard rubber type, as well as the dongle, making the fear of snapping them off or stabbing someone very minimal. The handle for flying is retractable. Rocket lights up, and makes great noises that so far have not annoyed me. My son loves it, and is easily one of his favorites. My gripe is that it doesn't have many accessories, and other parts come in the playsets (which seem very boring). It also isn't even remotely educational like the show. It is purely for fun. Now come on Disney, license some more Einstein products, that encompass the show more!

Go Rocket!
We bought our daughter a room full of toys for Christmas. After opening all her gifts she would have been happy with just this one, she loves it! Only down fall for mom and dad is the speaker is LOUD! Other than that it is really cool. Its a litle two heavy for a two year old to use the handle that retracts from the bottom but she just carries it with two hands and has a blast! If your kids love Little Einsteins dont hesitate to buy this, if they dont watch Little Einsteins they should be!

Fun but overpriced
Santa brought this for my two-year old son. It really is adorable, however the product summary states it plays various classical pieces. This led me to believe it was more than one classical piece...it's just one. I agree with another reviewer that it is way too loud and heavy. Volume control should have been a must on this toy. I think for the age this toy is geared to, the four characters should be a bit easier to put in and activated. Before Christmas this product could not be found and I payed way too much, however, if the manufacturer tweaked a few things on the product it would be worth it.

Rocket is fun but not perfect
My 2.5 year old son adores the Little Einsteins show, and so we got him this rocket for Christmas. He really loves it, so that alone warrants the high ratings. However, it is a little bit loud, and does not have any volume control, which can be sort of annoying to parents. We were also disappointed to find that the rocket does not play the theme song to the show, which we thought was an obvious inclusion that the manufacturers either overlooked or consciously excluded. It's such a catchy tune, why not include it? Also, the show seems to take advantage of many more educational opportunities for children that this toy misses completely. A book or map or some other add-on would have been really nice to make this pricey purchase a home run. All that said, the sound quality is very good - all of the characters have several "lines" that they say depending upon how you interact with the toy / what buttons you push; the flashing headlights are cool; and the toy seems to be quite durable.

LE PP Rocket
We didn't know the rocket existed until my Father in Law saw something similar while shopping less than a week before Christmas. None were to be found in the stores, and since our toddler is in love with the Little Einsteins and Rocket, we ordered from a vendor on Amazon. It came promptly several days before Christmas. We could tell right away in the packaging it would be a hit. We left it under the tree unwrapped "from Santa" at Grandma and Grandpa's. We never got to anymore gifts until after dinner, and then only about half - we just couldn't keep our son interested in Christmas anymore once he had the Rocket and "his guys." Again, a total hit. Highly recommend it. He plays with it everyday, sometime for hours.

My son loves this toy!
When I saw there was a Pat Pat Rocket, I put out the word that my son would like this for his first birthday...and I was right!!! Sure, it's a little loud, and sure it's difficult for a smaller child to use, but we have a great time playing with it together!
This is a great educational toy, and I recommend it for all Little Einstein fans!!!

This price is outrageous!!
Just a word of caution the price here is out of control! We just bought this for our 2 yr old son at Target yesterday. It may be sold out at some Targets but most of them I called said it isnt that hot of a toy! Its still VERY easy to find in there stores. Anyways cool toy! Even our 7 yr gets a kick out of it! I recommend!

Happy we finally got it - very hard to find!
Unfortunately, our Target has been out of it every time I've been in there, since the middle of October! The employees say it gets snatched up as soon as they put it on the shelf. "You can't even leave it alone in your cart." We bought two for our sons from ebay for almost twice the Target price, but it's one of their big Christmas things that we think they'll be really excited to open. I don't enjoy paying extra for anything, but it's worth it to not have to run around everywhere looking for it - especially this time of year!

WOW!
Target sells this item for $[...]! I am APAULLED that Amazon would hike up the price for this item this much1 Don't we call that price gouging? Who would spend $[...] on a plastic toy for a 2 year old? My son LOVES this toy. It's nice because he doesn't ask to watch the DVD much anymore...he would rather play with the real thing. This is great for me because as much as I love the cartoon...I have seen it way too many times.

Greatest toy I ever bought!
My daughter absolutely loves this toy. I can't say enough good stuff about it. I had to drive 150 miles to the only Target in my state that had one. If I had known I could get it for $[...] on amazon, I would have done that! Target's website is a big fat liar. When it says "limited availability" they never have it and "available" just means that someone else probably got it before you at 8 am!

DEFINITELY A MUST HAVE TOY FOR PRESCHOOLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This has got to be THE coolest toy that Disney/Fisher Price has come out with in a long time for toddlers/preschoolers! Excellent for pretend play. Nice classical music selection. My daughter and her friends LOVES Pat Pat Rocket! Tilt Rocket up and the music plays faster, tilt him down, and music plays slower. Overall, a very well made toy. I'm just thrilled that I found one for her before they're sold out! For those of you looking for one, ebay has them for cheaper than what Amazon is selling them for. Also, it's not Amazon selling this toy, it's a 3rd party seller.

Finally, they made a rocket that does something!
My son is completely in love with the little einstiens and it seemed like there was NOTHING out there that they could really play with. I bought this at Target and I swear I would have won the "mother of the year" award. He was a little frustrated when he couldn't open the lid and then when he did, it came off -- but that was easily fixable. You DO have to push the charachters into their seats pretty hard, but like my son says, "push hard, seat belts buckled." If you didn't push them hard then they'd all off their seats when Rocket was flying -- so, I guess I can see why it's that way. All in All, this is my son's (and all of his friends) favorite toy.

Got mine at Target too for just under $40. Not worth $90!
Like the other reviewers, I don't understand where Amazon got their price, that's unusual for Amazon to be so much higher. This toy is fun. My four year old enjoys it, and even my 9 month old likes holding the characters and gazing at their faces because he likes looking at the little einstein dvds (mainly the intro) almost as much as baby einstein. He's fond of June especially, so he likes the June figurine. The voices are the authentic voices, and the quality of the sound is very good, especially Rocket's sounds. Nice variety too.
Definitely shop Target first.

LOVEIT!!
This toy is amazing. My son loves the little einstein's and he now has the opportunity to act out his own "missions". It comes with all of the characters however they are in a fixed position / arms and legs are not posable. One word of caution...this toy is extreemely over priced. I found it at target for HALF what it is listed for here. Look around you have plenty of time before christmas and WILL find it cheaper at target.

My new favorite Toy!!
I love this new toy for 2007!! It is so adorable and fun!! My daughter loves the Little Einsteins and this toy is both interactive and educational. Although it is a bit loud, it is perfect for my daughter, if the music is to low she oversings the songs and can't hear the words to learn it! So this is perfect for her - she sings right along. I love the idea of it being interactive. I saw this in the store once and it has been sold out ever since I bought it. I'm sure alot of parents will be grateful to find this toy here! It sure beats spending hours driving around and calling around trying to find it! This is sure to be one of the HOTTEST TOYS for 2007!

On the Loud Side, but Fun
I bought this for my 4 yr old son and he enjoys playing with it! The only thing is that it is LOUD. A solution I find myself doing on many toys we buy, is place clear tape over the speakers. What a difference!
It is also a bit on the heavy side, so my son just rolls it on the floor or on tables. Worth the purchase is your child is a fan of the Little Einsteins!
