Customer Reviews for Evenflo ExerSaucer 3-in-1 Pond --- Evenflo

The flower smells odd!

This is a great toy if you have time to put it together! Once we got it set up our son really seems to like it. He is only 5 months old, maybe a bit too young? But I am sure in time he will like it much more. He does grab at the hanging toys and enjoys chewing on alot of the toys. He can spin the seat also. However the flower smells odd and leaves my little one with bad breath. I took it out and hand washed it but still smells! So I left it out! For the price I should not have to leave toys off due to a funky smell or buy a replacement so soon! And this is the reason I gave it 4 stars. I wrote the company. I am still waiting a reply.
Great Toy!

Look past the hour and a half it took to put together. It is a great toy. This product keeps my boys busy for hours. It is easy to clean seems very durable. Once we showed our 4 month old how everything works he set off to exploring. He is now 5 months old and loves bouncing and seeing all the lights, sounds and movements that he can creat. My 4 year old also loves this toy. Little bro stays entertained by just watching big brother play with the music "If your happy and you know it clap your hands". It always gets giggles out of baby bro every time.
I'm not sure about this one

My son is four months old so he has just started using this the past couple weeks. As expensive as this toy is I'm dissapointed that it doesn't have softer textures to it like rubber wings or more plush features. All the hard plastic is a bit unforgiving to a baby that wants to put everything in his mouth! I've already taken off the rattle bug that is attached to the flower with a ring. My son let out a piercing wail when it got jamped too far in his mouth. He now trys to 'eat' the two butterflies on the virtical poles and bangs up his face in the process. He likes this exersaucer for only five minute sessions...I was hoping for at least fifteen! The other issue is the height extensions. My son, starting out at the earliest age that he can use it in the second stage, is twenty-six inches tall and on the highest setting already! I know he is in the 95th percentile for his height but geez is that dissapointing! Only time will tell how much my son and I really like this toy. To anyone that is undecided I have two friends that have the mega circus exersaucer and their daughters loved it as did my older child whenever she played with them. I'm wondering if I should have got that one instead.
Wonderful fun for my 3 month old!

I was very very apprehensive when i got this toy after reading reviews about how difficult it was to put together...I dont know what the deal is with other people, but I got this thing up and running in about 30mins. My baby LOVES it and my 2 year old even plays with it sometimes. Overall a great toy. We had the Baby Einstein one for our first born when he was a baby and he liked it fine, but this one is a lot more colorful and definitely keeps my very busy 3 month old occupied.
Great gift for an infant. Keeps them BUSY while they learn!

This is a great gift to give a grandchild or a very good friend or relative. It is a great learning tool and keeps the child in one place. The price was the best that I could find for the ExerSaucer.
EXCELLENT! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

Our daughter just LOVES this thing! She is only just under 5 months old and she already loves her 'lil pond! We never used the stage one because we waited to order this until she was too big for that but that's ok. The colors are bright and vivid. The music and sounds are loud enough and attractive. The toys entertain her. She isn't able to "work" everything on her own yet but she's learning the use of her hands so she's getting there and seems quite pleased with herself as she masters these skills. This is a MUST HAVE!
Great so Far

My daughter is 4 months old and already loves to hang out in this. She loves all the toys that light up and make noise. The adjustable legs help to grow with her. I am sure she will enjoy it for many more months.
Great Exersaucer with lots of options

I really, really like this exersaucer a lot. My son played with it at a friend's house and was totally captivated. He is 5 months old and so I thought that he was the perfect age for this. Since we bought it when he was in the phase where he wanted to be upright, he did not get much use out of the mat with the toy bar dangling over him. I do like that this toy does continue to grow with your child though. It has lots of toys attached to it and really keeps my son busy for a little while. I love the fact that you can also take the toys off of the exersaucer itself and let the baby play with those toys when he's not in the exersaucer. Two of the toys plays songs, light up and make noise. The bar across the top has a toy that pulls down and vibrates as it goes back up. The bar also plays music. There are three height postions on this too. I did find the lowest position to be very short and I have already moved my son into the middle position. I feel that I will have to move him (very soon) to the highest position because the manufacturer suggests that you move the position up so that they only get to touch their tip toes to the bottom and advise aginst letting them stand fully on their feet. My son is not super tall either. He is almost six months old and in the 50th percentile for height. My son has so much fun in this thing that this little issue does not bother me at all. I really like that fact that he has one more phase in this exersaucer, too. The only other thing that I will say about this is that it takes quite a while to put together. It comes in a million peices fully disassembled with a buch of little screws and you have to screw every little peice together, which is kind of time consuming. I did manage to put it together without any help from my husband though. Overall, I really like this toy, it keeps my son occupied and has been well worth it.
Infant Entertainment Center!

I purchased this product for my 4 month old grandson after reviewing several similar products. Based on reviews and the price, as well as eye appeal (I wanted to play with it), I got it. My son and his friend put it together. This took a little time, but apparently was not difficult if you followed the instruction manual.

We only used the product in Stage I once, where the baby is lying on his back on the pad and playing with the detachable mobile. No biggie as he had other mobiles in his crib that entertained him. He was really to old to play with it in Stage I at 4 months.

The Exersaucer is very colorful, with lots of gadgets to hold baby's attention. My grandson stays busy in it for up to an hour at a time. Sometimes he is so busy in it, he can't be bothered by my attentions. Other times I play with him while he is in it. As he is developing, he plays with the different attachments in different ways. He never gets bored with it. He also loves to bounce. I had read where the bouncing is noisy, but I have not been bothered by it. It does not seem loud.

I am VERY glad with my purchase. It buys me time to do dishes, mop floors, etc. while my grandson is awake. I can keep him close, interact with him, but still get my work done, while he is busy playing and learning. I highly recommend this product.

I do not know yet about STAGE 3 as we have not gotten there yet.

Overall a good buy

Bought for my 6 month old who is taking some time getting used to the extra stimulation of all the new toys, but she is gradually increasing the amount of time she's spending in it. She seems to prefer the static toys to the musical ones so far but we haven't had it long so maybe that will change.

Mostly I wish to address the issues other reviewers had with putting it together. In all the publicity and ads I read for it, it states quite clearly that it will take about an hour to assemble. Two tips: first, lay out all the parts, identify them and make sure you've got them all before you start. I thought I was missing a leg piece but it had got stuck underneath one of the base pieces. This way you won't be burrowing around in a huge pile of parts at each stage (there are approximately 68 parts, not including screws, washers and springs). Secondly, get a small electric or battery operated screwdriver. The screws aren't hard to drive in and you don't want to overtighten them, but there are about fifty of them and that can be hard on the wrist and time consuming to do by hand. Having said all this it is not difficult to assemble, just a bit tedious. The instructions are relatively easy though you may have to read a couple of parts through twice to make sure you've got it right. It took me about an hour and ten minutes.

So far this is a success and I think it is worth the money. I compared several toys of this type in stores and to me this seemed to be the most interesting and versatile. The only thing I don't like is that the seat tends to pitch my daughter far forward but I'm hoping this will improve once she's more used to the new position.

exer saucer

This item is the best thing that I have purchased for my grandson! It bounces easily (unlike some others on the market), twists easily, and keeps him entertained. It is such a good item that the "other grandma" went out and bought one for her home. (Our grandson is 5 months old). The saucer is good for expanding the attention span, developing motor skills, and a great toy to interact with baby. 5 star item!
poor quality

I bought this online after reading good reviews and have been very dissapointed. It took hours to put together becuase you have to put every little screw and spring on not just some of the pieces but EVERYTHING. The directions are not very good and I was annoyed that I paid so much money for something that was completely unassembled. After hours of putting everything together I discovered that two of the electronic toys don't even work. I rechecked the batteries to make sure it wasn't that. Of course when I called evenflo to complain, they were closed. I also felt like the toys and the paint job on them were very poor quality. I really like our old exersaucer but it was a different brand and was six years old so with this child it was time for a new one. I was so hoping this would be a fun toy for my daughter but I am returning this product.
Great Toy & Entertainment

I recently bought this exersaucer for my son and convinced my frined to buy it as well. Both Stage 1 & Stage 2 can be set up at the same time. The saucer adjusts easily for babies of all heights. My son was too small to use Stage 2, but my friend's girl was not. They were both able to play with the toy. The setup however is difficult but can make a fun project for Dad or whoever. Just go ahead and set it up (before you use the instructions). I love this toy. The only problem is finding a place to store it.
exersaucer

Recently purchased for Christmas gift. It took a very intelligent person about 6 hours to assemble, many pieces, many steps. When we reached the final step, one of the toy pieces was missing. Now ... we are trying to get the missing piece from the manufacturer, because of course, it is not the responsibility of Amazon.com.
We have it all set to go under the tre, hope the grandson will like it.

Worth the money

We purchased the saucer for our 5 month old as a Christmas gift and I have found it to be worth the money. It assembled fairly easily and is good quality. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested.
very entertaining

My daughter is 4 months old, as per the instructions she is actually too young to use this because she can't sit up by herself, but the support from the chair helps her and she plays all by herself. There is always something infront of her that she loves. The only down side I saw is it took one hour to put together, it wasn't hard but there is definately a lot of pieces. It is worth it though once it is put together.
great product

We bought this for our 3 month old. (He has great head control. We stuffed blankets behind him for additional support.) He loves it! He loves the music and the flashing lights. He usually won't let us put him down. But with this, we can have a few moments to get chores done around the house. Highly recommended.
My little brute already broke it!

My ONLY bad comment is that my 7 month old daughter already broke part of this exersaucer. The little bug that buzzes back up when pulled - yep - he buzzes no more. Now he just dangles there helplessly. Mindy absolutely loves the exersaucer. She spins all around, holding onto the toys as she goes, and bounces so hard that sometimes I think she'll flip it! Probably one of the BEST investments we've made (when comparing all of the money we've spent on toys and developmental gadgets). We're very happy with this product!
ExerSaucer by Evenflo

My second gift to my first grandchild, once again from Amazon. I'm a very happy Amazon customer. Now 5mths he can grow with this gift past his 1st birthday.
5 month old thinks its ok :(

This product looks so cool. It has tons of colors and lots of toys. It makes you want to play with it the minute you see it in the store. Unfortunately my 4 1/2 month old doesn't agree. He only likes it for about 3 minutes. Then its get me out of here. Too much stimulation and probably overwhelming. He has another evenflo circus exersaucer and loves it, stays in that one for 20 minutes some days. It has less toys and doesn't make a lot of noise. The plus side is that the toys are interchangeable. I have taken out almost all the toys and he seems to like it better.
